Programme structure

The Master's curriculum in Atmospheric and Climate Science covers a total of 90 Credits (ECTS) which typically corresponds to 3 semesters of studies. The credits are awarded for subject categories as follows:

Obligatory courses : Introduction Course to Master studies Atmosphere and Climate Colloquia Atmosphere and Climate Master seminar: Atmosphere and Climate	11 ECTS
Choice of 3 module: Atmospheric Composition and Cycles Climate History and Paleoclimatology Climate Processes and Feedbacks Hydrology and Water Cycles Weather Systems and Atmospheric Dynamics	24 ECTS
Electives courses and/or minor offered at ETH or another partner university Any course offered at ETH Courses in Atmospheric and Climate Science at University of Bern Minor in Biogeochemistry Minor in Global Change and Sustainability Minor in Sustainable Energy Use Minor in Physical Glaciology	20 ECTS
Laboratory and Field work	5 ECTS
Master's thesis	30 ECTS
