The great irregularity of the urban roughness doesn't allow using the simplifications usually used in boundary layer meteorology. During the BUBBLE Project a different kind of remote sensing device was installed in an urban area of the city Basel. By analysing the inhomogeneities in the urban layers, it will help to better understand the urban boundary layers. In particular we will point the attention to the urban outer layer, to find a characteristic vertical profile for this city.
