Benedikt Knüsel has been the Head of Science-Policy Interface in the Office of Knowledge Transfer and Corporate Relations at ETH Zurich since September 2022.
Before that, he was a Scientific Advisor at the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation. In this role, he was responsible for the promotion of research establishments of national importance, the Swiss participation in European research infrastructure networks, and further specific research promotion initiatives of the Federal Government.
He has a degree in environmental science with a specialization in environmental systems and policy. In 2020, he completed his dissertation (supervisors: Prof. Dr. David Bresch, Prof. Dr. Reto Knutti und Dr. Christoph Baumberger), in which he assessed questions at the interface of philosophy of science and climate modeling.
