The available climate record is essential to understanding current and future climate change and improving climate prediction. However, this record could be considerably improved. Hundreds of thousands of volumes of historical meteorological observations have not yet been digitised. These data could be very valueable for society - they should be digitised and made publicly available. On this website you can help in this gigantic endeavour. By clicking on the link below, you will be transferred to a site that allows you to digitise historical climate data through an online interface.
The interface is still in its build-up phase. A test phase will start in 2009, please check the site from time to time.
