Accomodation

The workshop will be held at the Gwatt Centre located directly on Lake Thun, near the city of Thun. For late contributions please contact us for accomodation suggestions. For more detailed information about the Gwattzentrum, please see the website: www.gwattzentrum.ch (in german only).

We have also reserved a number of rooms in the following two hotels. In order to reserve a room, please contact these hotels directly and refer to "Stefan Brönnimann/ETH Zürich". We encourage you to do this as soon as possible, as our reservation expires on 31 May 2006.

They have single rooms for CHF 130 per night incl. breakfast. This hotel is not very far from the Gwatt Centre, a bus station is directly in front of the hotel and will take you to the Gwatt centre in just a few minutes.

They have single rooms for CHF 110 per night incl. breakfast. This hotel is further away than the Hotel Holiday, but there are also buses that take you to the Gwatt Centre.

Travel

The Gwatt centre can be reached conveniently by train from any of the Swiss airports. You have to take the train to Thun (in some cases you have to change trains in Bern). From Thun, it is a 10-min bus ride (take bus number 1124, direction Spiez, located in front of the railway station) to the "Gwattzentrum". From Zurich airport the total travel time is 2 hours.

You can check connections for Swiss trains on the SBB website: www.sbb.ch (you can then select your language of choice). If you want to check the connections from Zurich airport, simply enter "Zürich Flughafen" and "Gwatt, Gwattzentrum" in the required "To" and "From" fields.
