Lothar was observed by the ETH-radar with PPI scans at an elevation of 1.5 degrees. The PPI images of reflectivity and (dealiased) Doppler velocity are shown in the following animation. The animation holds the data for a two-hour period when a narrow cold-frontal rainband passed the Swiss Plateau.
